Take back your life.

Sometimes the ways we learn to survive become the patterns that keep us stuck. Therapy can help you understand where they came from, loosen the grip, and make room for something different.

Hi, and welcome.

My name is Jenn and I’m a registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Psychology. I live in Vancouver, BC, and see clients virtually across Canada. Therapy is vulnerable, so here’s a little about me to break the ice.

Growing up I was a competitive athlete, and for many years I accomplished a lot by being hard on myself. I was perfectionistic, critical, and pretty unforgiving when I didn’t live up to my own standards. It worked, until it didn’t. I became anxious and sick, pulled away from family and friends, lost motivation for things I’d previously loved, and felt scared and directionless. I sought therapy at a low point.

I wish I could tell you things turned around immediately, but healing took time. It took the repeated experience of being witnessed by someone who could hold up a kinder mirror than the one I was used to looking into.

Therapy changed my life. It wasn’t easy, and it definitely wasn’t quick, but the shifts I made there kept unfolding long after I left the room. So wherever you’re starting from, I promise to meet you with patience, hope, compassion, a little humour, and a lot of understanding.

So, how does it work?

I take the time to hear your story. Along the way I’ll ask questions that help me better understand your world and how you see yourself in it. We set goals for our time together — what is it you’d most like to work on? What would it take for you to become a [happier/calmer/more grounded/more confident] version of yourself?

I work from a trauma-informed, person-centred, and collaborative lens. I may draw from mindfulness and body-based practices, dream work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and psychodynamic theories.

Some sessions might involve making connections to the past, others might focus on your immediate circumstances and practical strategies.

As a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, I also take a holistic approach to wellbeing. We’ll get curious about the whole picture of your health and how you care for yourself outside therapy. Over time, my hope for you is that doing this inner work brings you clarity, self-understanding, and more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.
